How to delete your account in the app

1. 1Open the Close Eye app (or closeeye.in) and sign in to your account.
2. 2Go to your Profile — tap your account avatar, then Settings.
3. 3Scroll to the “Close account” option.
4. 4Tap “Close account”, then confirm on the “Close your account?” screen.
5. 5Your account and data are deleted immediately, and you’re signed out.

The path in the app is Profile → Close account. Deletion is permanent and immediate — it cannot be undone.

What is deleted

When you close your account, we permanently delete, immediately:

• Your profile — name, email, phone, WhatsApp number and address.
• Everyone you added — your loved ones’ names, relationships, contact details and photos.
• All health & wellbeing information — medical conditions, medications, allergies, doctors, emergency contacts, routines and notes.
• Your questions, messages and any attachments.
• Your bookings and visit details, and any nominated family members.
• Your uploaded files — photos, videos, documents and reports in private storage.
• Any active subscription is cancelled so you are not billed again.

Residual copies in our encrypted backups are fully overwritten within 90 days.

What is kept, and for how long

Only a few narrow items are retained, and only where the law or basic accountability requires:

• A minimal record that a deletion happened — kept for accountability and to prevent abuse; contains no family data.
• Basic transaction records (invoices/payment references) — kept only where required by applicable tax and accounting law, for the retention period that law requires.
• Anonymous, de-identified usage statistics — these can no longer be linked to you or your family.
